Irish League of Credit Unions Welcomes 2017 CXi Ireland Customer Experience Report

The Irish League of Credit Unions is today warmly welcoming the 2017 CXi Ireland Customer Experience Report showing that credit unions have once again topped the national league table for customer experience. This is the third consecutive year that credit unions have been voted number one for customer experience in Ireland, coming in ahead of 170 other brands across 10 different business sectors.

Once again this year, credit unions scored highly for integrity, empathy and for their highly committed staff, many of whom are volunteers. Another element in this success with customers is that credit unions are deeply embedded in the local communities that they serve. According to the CXi, credit unions are “a perfect example of a company that genuinely cares about its customers.”

Commenting on the news. ILCU Head of Marketing and Communications, Emmet Oliver, said “Our members are our number one priority and each and every credit union endeavours at all times to deliver the highest possible standard of customer service for them. It is this steadfast commitment to personalised customer care that has always, and will always, direct credit unions as they make decisions for the future.”

Mr Oliver continued “Credit unions are different from other financial institutions, not just because we are not-for-profit, but because decisions are made at a local level, allowing credit unions a good deal of flexibility to provide services that are tailored to the individual needs of members. Our members have rewarded us with their loyalty and because of this, credit unions have grown and strengthened to become cornerstones of the communities that they serve.”
